Babe likes nothing better than getting dolled up for a party. Makeup has long been one of the great loves of her life, but like any relationship, it takes work, especially determining the origin of so many peculiar ingredients (carmine is basically code for crushed-up bugs, by the way). After much investigation, Babe has come up with a few vegan standbys for special occasions, when she needs her color to stay put for more than 2 or 3 cocktails. She uses FACE Atelier Ultra Foundation ($42), which provides good coverage and comes in 12 shades. To add a faux glow to her super pale skin, Babe piles on Beauty Without Cruelty Sun Gold Blusher ($10.95). For eyes, she favors Urban Decay Vapor eye shadow ($16), a shimmery silver, and 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil ($15) in Gunmetal, as well as Ecco Bella FlowerColor Natural Mascara ($13.95). For the final touch, Babe dabs on Hard Candy Sweet Spot lip gloss ($11) in Groovy, a sparkly reddish hue that's perfect for New Year's Eve. If your complexion requires shades with a little more intensity, check the Hardy Candy and Urban Decay websites for even more vegan options.
