Despite years of classes and tutoring, Babe's ability to speak, read and comprehend French generally est très mauvais (with the exception of wine labels -- go figure). Fortunately the mission of Cri de Coeur, literally, "cry from the heart," is understandable in any language. New York-based designer Gina Ferraraccio is launching a line of vegan shoes for women this spring that combines compassion and fashion, and as an added bonus, she's utilizing eco-conscious business practices: Cri de Coeur is a partner with Carbonfund.org, and for every pair sold, the company will sponsor a tree planting. The brand offers six styles ranging in price from $120 to $250. Babe's favorites are the funky navy and brown Sierra pump (at right) and the glam Nellie D'Orsay slingback. Cri de Coeur is available in Manhattan at Coclico and Clarabella, in Brooklyn at Archangela and Otte and online at Ravinstyle.com.
