Once upon a time, Babe's father sent her a power drill, perhaps hoping she would become one of those self-sufficient, shelf-building-type kittens. She hasn't mastered the art of home improvement, but Babe did recently discover a great use for her power drill when she wanted fresh coconut water, but had no tools to crack the fruit -- just drill, stick a straw in it and slurp. Coconut is one of her favorite flavors, but there are, of course, easier ways to enjoy that refreshing tropical taste. Babe stocks her fridge with treats like Turtle Mountain's So Delicious Coconut Milk Ice Cream and Yogurt, which is dairy- and soy-free, and Natural Choice Coconut Frozen Fruit Bars. You can find either at Whole Foods and natural food stores, and for you West Coast vegans, check out Luna & Larry's Coconut Bliss. If she's feeling festive (and in the mood to clean the blender afterwards), Babe will whip up a Pina Colada -- mix 1.5 oz. of light rum, 2 oz. of organic light coconut milk, 2 oz. of organic pineapple juice and crushed ice. It's perfect for a Labor Day party, or a random Sunday afternoon.
